Base 10
Base 10 is a fantastic maths resource to aid your child’s understanding of place value. Not only does it support their visual understanding of thousands, hundreds, tens and ones, but you can also use these to support learning around fractions and decimals. When I teach fractions and decimals, I use the 100 piece to represent one whole, then the ten pieces are tenths and the ones are one hundredths.
